There have been several points in my life where I was devastated by rejection. When I was younger, rejection felt like the end of the road and there was no place else to go. Now I know when one door closes, or is slammed shut, I know there is something else just around the corner that suits me much better. I know making the choice to open a new door and shift a life goal is not easy. Don’t dwell on the rejection and stay stuck in the past though. Stay positive and move forward. The new door may be in front of you already or it may take a few move shut doors to find the right one, but don’t feel like a failure in the meantime. Don’t let rejection define who you are, but instead think of rejection as focusing you in the right direction so you will end up where you wanted to be all along.

In a previous post, I discussed the importance of meditation, how to begin meditation and how meditation prepares me for each day. Through meditation I have also attained peace of mind and control over my life. Through meditation I have been able to thrive, think clearly, treat people with respect and learn from past mistakes.
If you are wondering why you would want to strive for peace of mind as I have, think of the benefits you would experience by staying calm and stress free no matter what events and difficulties arise each day. Imagine having the inner strength to handle each day with patience and tolerance.
Each day, take the time to mediate in a quiet, restful place. Clear your mind of problems and what has happened. Sit quietly, breathing slowly. Try to mediate as often as possible to achieve the highest level of benefits. Begin to feel your anxiety and stress melt away and welcome the confidence that will give you stress-free and clear thinking no matter what comes your way.

The positive frame of mind you are in when you send energy outward will help create calm and re-balance energy. Sending positive energy and vibrations outward can also benefit ourselves as the more often we send positive energy outward the more permanent positive energy will have in our lives. There doesn’t have to be a ritual to send positive energy, though consciously disconnecting from sending energy outward is necessary so as to not drain your own energy. Next time you are in a positive mood, send some positive energy outward.
Your attitude is based on what you put forward to the world and should not be based on what other people have said or done. If you find yourself in a grumpy, angry, sad or depressed frame of mind, take the time to think about your thoughts. Why am I angry, sad, upset? Are these thoughts helping you or prolonging the feeling you are experiencing. Is being angry or sad going to change the outcome of something that is happening or has happened in the past? Most likely not, so work on changing your thoughts to something happy or more peaceful. Don’t let others dictate the mood you are in or how you feel. Be the master of your own feelings and thoughts, smile and change your attitude.
